Mad Men / Don Draper Screen Print

This is a project I started two months ago. This poster was initially a part of a personal project to create an advertisement for my favorite AMC shows. One of the posters was based on Don Draper from the TV show Mad Men. It's a show I absolutely love and I wanted to create something that portrayed his character. I initially posted this project here to be sold as a print. But I wanted to push the project further and have more control over the printing methods. I decided to have them silk screened on awesome paper and with some cool metallic ink details that really jump off the black illustration. I had them printed at Mama's Sauce print shop. They were really great and a pleasure to work with. I'm really happy at how they turned out. Faded Paper Figures Band site

So I just finished up a new website for the great people of Faded Paper Figures. They are a cool band with an amazing sound. At first we were supposed to do an album cover for their new album, but since they needed a website sooner than the cover, they asked me if I could could design it. We worked very hard on it and I'm happy with how it turned out. New Typeface

This is actually the first typeface I ever made. This is a curious exploration of type based on a 19th century party enthusiast. The whole idea actually came about after a friend said he would dress up as Buzz Killington for Halloween next year. I thought there should be an alter - ego called Buzz Chillington. Thus this droll typeface was created, based on a "hipper version" of the former dandy. So I fashioned some of his quotes in a less than Killington way. Space Prints

These are a series of prints that explored themes related to space exploration. They were all hand screen printed using various techniques such as CMYK half tone dots and other half tone techniques. Most were designed using Illustrator and Photoshop. 14 x 17. Unfortunately I can't seem to locate the original files or I would've uploaded them here. Well I always wondered what non-design folks think of when we blabber on about our design troubles in a language only we can understand. Then I imagined their significant others having to listen to it. love works it out though. I think i'll turn this into series of posters with the usual gripings of illustrators, web designers, interactive, and graphic designers alike.
