http://www.threadless.com/submission/405502/Feather_Box

I've taken Feather Box and reworked it for Threadless, my first ever submission. Eeeek! Threadless is a terrifying place where competition is fierce and community voters rule with an iron fist but it’s worth a shot.

If you’ve got a little time and love to spare... I would really appreciate a vote.

Thanks as always,

It is said that to force him out of bed, Rubinstein’s wife would play an unresolved chord on his piano. Her husband, who could not bear the sound, would leap out of bed and rush to resolve it into a perfect triad. Meanwhile, Madame Rubinstein would sneak in and steal his bedclothes to prevent him going back to bed.

Volcan-oh-no! was inspired by the air travel chaos caused by volcanic eruptions at Eyjafjallajökull (Iceland) this year. I was fascinated by the scale of the disruption, which lead to the largest air traffic shutdown since World War II.

In particular vox pops and sound bites of furious holidaymakers across Ireland and the UK, their vacations cancelled but no one to blame. The world of air travel brought to its knees by nature.

Having visited beautiful Iceland and region where the eruptions were taking place, I looked to glaciers for my palette.

Palpitation V2 (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/box_001/post_10/107209_16374076_l.jpg"/>Reworked for Semi-Permanent.

Feathery Turnings (I) (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/box_001/post_10/160092_7561203_l.jpg"/>From 'Feathery Turnings' set.

Cornucopia Restaurant (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/box_002/post_12/273227_7100790_l.jpg"/>

Natural Selection

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/box_001/post_10/65292_1368850_l.jpg"/>

Sleepless Stalingrad (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/box_001/post_10/160096_8312148_l.jpg"/>"During the battle of Stalingrad,... to increase the pressure on their opponents, the Soviet commanders ordered continual raids to be carried out by night. They did this partly because the Germans lacked protection from their air force at night, but mainly to induce exhaustion among the enemy. To augment the night raids, the Soviets fired flares indicating that an attack was imminent even when it was not. Their air force also attacked German positions every night. The Soviets kept up the psychological pressure throughout the night, with loudspeakers blaring out propaganda broadcasts, surreal tango music, or the sound of a ticking clock."
