This also may be one of the more in-depth typography treatments i’ve done. printed the original custom vector art out to scale, pieced it together on the light table and then proceeded to layer some sketching paper over it; inking this into the current phase. had allot of fun with it. Til Death. A two parted meaning, paying tribute to my loving wife as well as the idea that i'll be true to myself til death. I'll be who i am ferociously, limitless with disregard to any resistance.

(top) this was the initial start to the second tattoo i’ll have Adambomb slap on my forearm. Phase 2 of the second tattoo i’m going to have Adam from Adambomb work his magic on. this is going to start atop my hand and continue up my forearm to my elbow region. going to be a pretty spectacular tattoo when done. this also may be one of the more in-depth typography treatments i’ve done. printed the original vector art out to scale, pieced it together on the light table and then proceeded to layer some sketching paper over it inking this into the current phase. had allot of fun with it. and yes, for those wondering, i have consulted Adambomb to make sure the line thickness and variations are tattoo-able.

Minga art directed and created and sent off for approval by the band, Before Tomorrow, for use as apparel design. pretty serious amount of thought behind this one and i was able to pull some techniques and symbolism that i haven’t done in a while; felt good. overall i love this illustration for the Before Tomorrow apparel. And i think i’m going to continue further studies with this sort of Victorian lady and steam-punk machinery look.

when i had the idea for this piece, i was writing word lists and such when the lists became more of a poem; a response if you will. ----------------- a poem poetry ha more like a warning for those who continue to talk fear me not when I’m your friend fear me now I no longer repent. talking…yet talk is of nothing the words you spit are all too familiar steppin’ on toes that walk for you steppin’ on toes that dance with with those whose eyes are blind the visually impaired, viewed as a resource ha curse me not I remain myself self is what you fear self is what you hate self is what you lack myself is the target Sticks and tones may break my bones but fear shall never shun me so here I stand arms out to lend a hand spat upon time and time again fear me not when i’m your friend fear me now I no longer repent out to those, you know who you are ----------------- This work was the totality of re-discovering self and my peers who seemed upset and frightened by this happening.

Nameless, she stands. Using hand painted textures and collage elements, smashing them together digitally, has created one of the largest pieces i have to date. I wanted to create the same sense of awe and twisted mystery we humans seem to have about the monsters we create. These same monsters are those that may prove to be our own impending doom.

This Minga illustration was featured in the last printed issue of MKE mag. Commissioned for their special Valentines issue, we asked to depict something relating to the essence or spirit of the holiday. Inspired by the glassy slightly creepy look i give when i’m touched by love, the piece came to life. Sitting on a thrown like tear, love is perched, center of a fantastical scene of seductive tentacles and other worldly moons. Soft feathers, fuzzy matte flower petals; Sleepless is the Watchful Eye created itself. stung.
