Spot illos: 1) Mobile restaurants and the famed Uwajimaya Asian supermarket which started when Fujimatsu Moriguchi sold fishcakes out of the back of his truck to loggers. 2) Tasseography, or the art of reading fortunes from Turkish coffee grounds. 3) Indian cooks grinding fresh cardamom with coffee grinders.
