(For Sale)

I think about life everyday. Some days I think about death.

This comic was made for Kuš! #12- a Latvian comic anthology with a future theme.

Off Road (For Sale)

Cyborg Exposure (For Sale)

Feel and Heal (For Sale)

While We Wait (For Sale)

Every Last Drop (For Sale)

Ripples (For Sale)

I made this drawing inspired from a moment I witnessed on Pender Island, November, 2012. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon. I was sitting on a steep cliff 100 ft above the ocean, feet dangling over the edge of a place called The Oak Bluffs. The ocean was very calm and quite, which would typically be loud this time of year. From the silence, emerged the sound of an orca passing by. I watched it come up for breath and form these beautiful ripples.

I was taken by the moment and thought about symmetry and all the connections to life. I thought about how I look at art and praise art makers of the world, but also recognized how much I praise art in the natural world- a world free of photos and frames. I don't want to discredit the incredible amount of art made by humans, but I am personally moved the most by the hand of "God" or whatever label one wants to call it. To me, maybe it has something to do with God not asking for validation like humans do. God seems to give regardless of reward. In writing this, I want to remove myself from recognition. I don't want this to be a validation that I had a special moment with nature, or how I re-created a minimal fraction of what I saw- what I felt.

For me, I believe we are all special, not because we did this or did that, but because we are alive to experience love in this moment called life. Sure, there's lots of amazing things to see in the cyber realm, but Mother Nature is pretty awesome too. I feel that we need to give her the credit she deserves. Not because she's necessarily requesting it, but so we as a human race can continue to express our gratitude through the art we make. I believe all our tiny hands are connected to her arm, and without her- there would be no "we." If we can pay more attention to the masterpieces she creates daily, maybe we'd be less inclined to destroy her beauty. Her beauty isn't ours to own, it's ours to enjoy with respect.

Crashing Into Things (For Sale)

Poster made for band of same title.

The baby’s mind is born with a peaceful mind, but as it grows older it’s mind becomes corrupt. The heart eventually prevails.
