I'm glad they chose the Circle poster, it never gets the attention it deserves.

The opportunity was to be the next featured artist for the cover of Pinball's cool Scoutbook product. I am so pleased at the quality of these great little notebooks and it was a total pleasure working with Pinball on this. Outstanding production, and super friendly people.

Ultra Quality

Some prints arrived yesterday for me to sign, they look fucking awesome. He asked me to create some merchandise for his Fall 08 Tour so we met up and discussed some concepts. "House With No Home" was just released and he wanted to keep the austere tone of the new album, so I approached the design with that intent, though my style is typically more embellished and ornate. Each piece uses the same illustration, though slightly different for each application.

The fine folks at Tender Loving Empire asked me to create a couple new designs for thier fall line of artist series tshirts. Both designs were derived from posters and reformatted for new application. The Squid King (silver ink on black) and Siamese Panthers (discharge ink on cranberry) were among the clients favorite posters in my portfolio. I took the main illustrations from those two posters and modified them for use as apparel designs. And I have to say, I am partial to the 1 color design.

Tshirt Design for Talkdemonic

Apparel Designs for Tender Loving Empire

Gig Posters

Limited Editions of silkscreened rock posters created for artists, venues, and promoters that I have hand selected to work with based on similar aesthetic interests and sensibilities. Some are close friends, others are in constant rotation on my playlist. All typography is hand-drawn, in fact all designs begin hand-drawn and sometimes are later rearranged and edited digitally. I tend to appreciate the marriage of technology and the hand-made.

Each design is intended as a visual communication or interpretation of an emotional response to the music. Sometimes that response is from listening to the music, but it may also be from a conversation with the artist.

Needless to say, this is an artform I hold dear and will continue doing for a long time.

Portfolio

www.lloydwinter.com

From Etsy

EtsyBuy HandmadeLloyd
