A little about the show
“MIGRATIONS” is about the ebb and flow of humanity; those who’ve traveled across the country, and the world, taking little with them except a taste for a brighter future. We are constantly moving and striving for something better, yet often drawn back to our origins, to honor those who came before us. An escape, a journey, an adventure combined with coming home, returning with new experiences and a sense of wonder in the world around us.

Migrations are not always spurred on by a lust for adventure or knowledge; sometimes they are forced by disaster or ill will. But each movement offers a chance; a chance to start again, a chance to be better, a chance to return if we want, or to head forever on towards the horizon. These changes are not up to us; this urge is embedded deep with in our own humanity. Sometimes we do not even understand the why, we just understand the need: move, forward, pushing, striving.
This movement, this journey is often the end itself. Our joy in being on the road, our excitement in the next adventure. Whatever has spurred us onward, it is this movement that is our true joy.
Migration. Explore, escape, journey, wander. We do it because we must.

You can access the sale via cyberspace on my Etsy, and in person at 954 E Bayaud Ave in Denver(please call or email ahead to schedule studio visits). I'll have discounts on some of last years paintings, older pieces and prints, with freebies of varying degrees on purchases of $50 or more. Payment plans will be available too. One third of all sales will go to the people of Haiti, via Doctors Without Borders. I'm just one human, but if I can help in some way, cool. Hopefully this inspires others to do the same, to assist in rebuilding, and to allow the Haitians to go back to their lives.

Please check out kauffmanartistry.etsy.com to see the sale. Also feel free to share this with anyone else who might be interested.

Thanks for reading,

'Eco-Survey(side A)'
8 1/2 x 11 print, on hand deckled 140lb arches paper. Printed by Superheroes, and released through CMYK projects. Each piece hand painted, no two are alike. There’s a few that went beyond hand painted and moved towards embellishing- I won’t say how many, but there are some gems hidden within. Run of 50, $45 shipped. And for those of you in the Denver area, you can order a print for $40 by emailing orders@cmykprojects.com

The whole process has been interesting having never worked in the medium before, to see the plate show up at my house, to getting the test prints, to the whole shebang getting done up properly by Ian and the Superheroescrew(support your local printers!) Visit Cmykprojects.com to pick this sucker up. Thanks and happy hunting!

ps Haaay Society 6, this place looks fantastic.
