White ink printing now available on Tri-blend (Athletic) Tees

Now when you upload a PNG file to activate dark t-shirts with white ink printing, you can select from the available American Apparel Tri-blend color options, which now include Tri-Blue, Tri-Grey, Tri-Coffee and the all new Tri-Black! If you've already activated dark tees, tri-blend tees have been automatically added for you. If you want to edit these color options just click "Add T-Shirts and More" and you can uncheck any colors that you do not want to be available for that particular artwork. If you've Posted an Art Print but not the Tee, just click "Add T-Shirts and More" at the top of any post to easily add T-shirts and other products to accompany your Art Print. Introducing Tote Bags on Society6

We are pleased to bring you Tote Bags available now in your store! Our canvas tote, available in Natural and Black, is made from 100% post-industrial recycled cotton, making it environmentally and socially responsible. For those of you already selling T-shirts on Society6, Tote Bags have automatically been activated for you since we use your T-shirt asset to create the Tote Bags. If you need to EDIT these, just click "ADD T-SHIRTS & MORE" at the top of any post to easily edit all products that accompany your Art Prints. Please remember that if you want to activate Black Tote Bags (as you had to do with the addition of our new dark T-shirt and Hoody colors) you will need to prepare your artwork as PNG files with a transparent background. JPEGs are still accepted if you only want to offer Natural Totes with no white ink underbase. Due to additional labor and materials, the white underbase PNG option retails for a few bucks more than the JPG version. They're totes, totes. ;)

iPhone 5 Cases Available Now!

If you haven't already noticed the new iPhone 5 came out last week, and so did our iPhone 5 Case. They are available for sale now and will ship just after the phones are available in stores. A nicely appointed update to our iPhone 4 case, this one has a lay-flat feature which protects the front of your iPhone by extending the bezel above the screen, while a silicone interior liner provides impact cushioning. Just like the phone, the case is taller and slimmer. You will now see them as the default model on all Society6 iPhone Case product pages, in the shop and on your profile.

Introducing Dark Colored T-shirts and White Ink Printing

After much anticipation, we can now print full color on dark garments using a white ink underbase. This means 20 color options for your T-shirts and Hoodies including dark colors like black, slate and lieutenant green! To activate any or all of the new color options you will need to prepare your artwork as PNG files with a transparent background. JPEGs are still accepted if you only want to offer a selection of lighter garment colors with no white ink underbase and keep a more vintage feel to the print. Learn more about preparing your T-shirt files here: http://society6.com/help/tshirts To upgrade your existing T-shirt posts to include our full range of colors, just go to that product page and click "ADD T-SHIRTS & MORE". Once on the additional products page, scroll down to the T-Shirts & Hoodies asset (Click "REMOVE THIS ARTWORK" if you have already uploaded a file here) and upload a new PNG file. Select your T-shirt and Hoody colors, check your product previews and you're all set. First off, we’ve organized the Posts on the homepage by POPULAR PRODUCTS (Posts with products for sale), and POPULAR POSTS (Posts that do not have products for sale) posted within the last 24 hours. For those of you that love to promote, we've added VIEW RECENT POSTS showing the 20 most recent Posts to help give even greater exposure to new artists and artwork. POPULAR ARTISTS features the artists with the greatest number of promotions within the last 48 hours, and takes visitors directly to your artist page within the Shop. We’ve added “More from this Artist” to your product pages within the Shop to highlight more products for those predisposed to purchase your work. You can now Follow any artist directly from their artist page within the Shop. You can now Promote any Post from the product page within the Shop. We’ve eliminated those pesky “Buy” icons from the homepage, by simply replacing them with the price of your Mini Fine Art prints. We're on to the next round of goodies... Society6 Minutes welcomes Clemens Behr with "Flat Forest"

It's tough to talk about the work of Clemens Behr without feeling like you can't do it justice. He's been blowing our minds here at Society6 since the early days of 2009. Before seeing his posts I never realized what you could do with otherwise mundane elements. He covers that in his own words, in his first ever post on Society6: "Garbagebags and cardboxes are cheap, beautiful, offer a lot of space, are always available, quickly to process, work without electricity and are actually meant for other purposes. Maybe that`s why they trigger my association and by that, develop a special charm, aesthetic and meaning to me..." Well, they trigger something special in us too. To this day I still look forward to walking through one of his installations and experiencing it first hand. For now, he has been kind enough to share a video of a recent exhibition. Tag your posts on Society6

We just added Tags to the Post page! Now you can easily add tags (descriptive keywords) to any of your posts on Society6. Choose up to 4 tags from the list and help people more easily find your work. Just click on a tag to add it, and click it again to remove it. This is just the first step. We will be rolling out some exciting changes to the Shop that take advantage of this new feature. *You'll also notice that the check box for selling your work as Art Prints and other products is right above where you Title your post on the Post page.

We've added photos of real humanoids, headless they may be, and also a bit of technical secret sauce that selects default tee color based on the design. These changes affect all Tee previews; in the Shop, with our Retail Partners and also in your own Studios and posts. Take a look and enjoy!

A slimmer, better looking S6

As you may have noticed we've been busy over here making some tweaks and adjustments to key areas of Society6. The Homepage has been redesigned to showcase more posts. We combined this with the Discover page format and moved that feature into the homepage so you can now check out random cool stuff without leaving the homepage, just hit Discover nestled in between Popular and New. When our next Collab goes live you will see this in the top right corner of the Homepage. You can still check up on closed collabs by accessing it via the footer. Studios got tidied up a bit and by getting rid of the Endorsements altogether. We removed it because it was redundant since you can follow people and Following does the same + more. In the next few days we will be moving all your Endorsement into your list of Following so it is all combined into one simple list. My Society got some touch ups too. We increased the thumbnail sizes on the right and left columns so you can more easily see the cool content coming from people in your Society. Let us know what you think, as always we will keep tightening up the experience to showcase your artwork and make it easier for you to get inspired by the work of others.
