This touring exhibition by the British Museum is one of a number of exhibitions promoting the understanding between various cultures. It is also part of the Partnership UK programme supported by BP and the China Now legacy project.

The primary illustration of the Dragon sits on all the promotional and marketing material from the posters to the banners and is the main indent for the exhibition.
The gallery space is divided into five separate areas each delving into the rich past of China's heritage and thousands of years of innovation.

Separate icons were illustrated to distinguish these areas which will be hung as banners indicating the key attributes of China's history which is being explored. These areas include "Language and Writing," "Food and Drink," "Play and Performance," "Festivals and Beliefs" and finally "Technology and Innovation."

The Exhibition is currently at the Weston Park Museum in Sheffield and will run from Dec 17th 2011 - April 9th 2012. For more information and details of the accompanying events programme please visit www.museums-sheffield.org.uk

So I decided to take a new approach and see what would come out the other end!

I quite like where this style is going so I think I will explore this as much as possible for now, thoughts and feedback welcome! Make sure to view all the images and close ups for detail!

The image will take the form of a six sheet backlit poster (Bus stop poster) and will be lit up and installed in the reception area for clients to view while in the waiting area. The object of the project was to first create a striking image that would draw the viewer in for them to realise that all the wording within the illustration is relevant to what Gutenberg and Paperhat do.
