Eroding Bench

I've been working more in the darkroom. I feel more at ease there now, except when putting my films on the rolls - it takes me forever. This is a picture of the bench that I love (there's a previous post of a colour scan with the same bench) and a small man-made waterfall that just went together perfectly. I have a few other versions of the bench, it seems I've become quite attached to taking pictures of it.

Lonely Bench

I walk past this bench on the way to school. The first few times I didn't see it, but when I did I was really taken aback. I couldn't really believe that I'd never seen it before. I don't know what it is about this bench, if it's the fact that it's riducously high, or that it's under a bridge, or the old wall behind it... Whatever it is, I'm completely utterly in love with it, and smile everytime I walk past it. ( I also sat on it once, it was a very nice experience. )

Good Morning Series

If you don't understand swedish they say "good morning" "congratulations, you are awake." and "getting up in the morning is sometimes the hardest thing I'll do all day. It's my good morning series. I've kind of made it a habit to write things all over my photos, usually not that clever or witty, but enough to make me giggle. They are often honest remarks.

I'm getting pretty used to the darkroom now, I liked this picture, both blurred and non blurred. It's pretty dark, but that makes the upsidedown cross the only cross which gives the picture a whole new meaning, I guess.

Self Portrait

This a self portrait I started a couple of years ago. Recently I finally added some more shading and did a scan. It's a self portrait of "emotion". That's to say, this isn't really what I look like, but it would be the face of the emotion that I was going through at the time. It was just a really bad year for me with a lot of sadness. (nevermind the ear...)

This is a meant to be a slightly humorous self portrait. I tend to get the feeling that I probably look like this most of the time. At some point in the making of this I didn't go to the extremes that I set out to reach. My doublechin is quite modest here, and my pignose isn't as piggy. It's probably a quite realistic portrait of what I look like, haha.

There are times when you should really be writing on assignments but instead you go to your personal picture bank and write not-really-that-funny phrases on them. Or perhaps that's just me. Translation "Leaves Under Water Surface - Cool" & "Cool Tree" The key to the humor is sarcasm.

The Universe

I've become fascinated with Rayogram and that things can really look like other things in the simpleness of things. This is the first time I've ever done a rayogram, and I was quite pleased with the results. I kind of think that it feels like I'm looking at the universe /space from a spaceship or something... and then along comes a big orchidé...
