This ballpoint pen drawing (which I drew last summer) is my tribute to one of the most inspirational F1 drivers to ever live. It features one of my favourite quotes: 'I have no idols. I admire work, dedication and competence.'

Also known as the VW Bus, Camper, Kombi or Pick-up, is a panel van initially deriving from Volkswagon's first model, the Type 1 (Beetle).

I find old medical journals and posters fascinating, and I've been enjoying a little anatomy study of bones and muscles myself recently, so decided I may as well use these skulls to form part of a bigger piece, with a vintage feel to them. I'm pretty happy with how it all worked out.

- Charles Eames

I've been fascinated by Eames for a while now. Charles and Ray Eames, and architect and a painter by profession, were the partnership behind some of the most iconic furniture and architectural designs on the mid 20th century. They were pioneers particularly in the use of materials, most significantly; fibreglass, wood, and plastic. Their company contributed to countless designs, including those of Boeing and Polaroid.

Hand drawn lettering, using a combination of traditional and digital media.

I always find January drags on a bit, and after a tough winter, these past few weeks have been a bit of a struggle. I should be somewhat more productive after next week though, once I've got my exams over and done with. For now, this is my illustrated apology for my radio silence over the past few weeks.

I've been working on this ballpoint pen drawing of a bright orange Bush radio for a week or so, but when I got read about the new Society6 ANALOG zine, I figured it was a happy coincidence.

Originally drawn with orange and brown ballpoint pens (and a little bit of coloured pencil ) in my Moleskine sketchbook.

PS; I don't know if it's legible at this resolution, but the text in the dial is basically a selection of locations around Europe. London, Munich, Luxembourg, Budapest, Northern Ireland, Brussels, Éireann (Ireland), Oslo, Moscow, and Wales are mentioned.

Free Shipping!

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/0009/p/2184223_3646682_l.jpg"/>Promotion expires December 9, 2012 at Midnight Pacific Time.

I had to learn tin whistle in primary school, and the recorder in my first year of secondary school, but never quite got the hang of it. I dabbled in the keyboard for a while as well, but never got formal lessons. Anyway, the ability to read sheet music and play an instrument has always been something that I admire.

I don't know if paper planes count, but I remembered a little book my brother had (still has) all about paper planes. We used to flick through it every now and then, trying to figure out which one worked best. If memory serves, the classic, simple shape worked well, though there was another one that involved tearing paper that was best.

I still love that teal blue pen, too, so it's turning into a very small set, which is no bad thing. :)

Ps: I love clouds. I think I'm attracted by the endless possibilities of their shape and size and colour. :)
