This ship appeared in a cup of chai tea. Don't know where the crew went... or even if there ever was a crew. This spring I plan to set it in the French Broad river and let it sail where it may.

Firefly (For Sale)

This was one of the first machines that I discovered. I was on my front porch one evening as the sun was setting. It was incredible because it was only a little bit larger than an actual firefly. Inside the creature were instructions on how to contact the Tinkerer and that was how our relationship began.

This guy I once observed running with a herd in Africa. It was incredible as the group had fully accepted him and it appears that he was even trusted. What I couldn't imagine was transporting this giant machine across the sea.

She may seem prickly, but I assure you that this little lass is an incredibly gentle sea faring lady. I discovered this beauty of a machine in the harbor at Ocracoke.

This is a Jackson's chameleon that is made up of spare bits and pieces from the Tinkerer's shop. He's pretty awesome.

These animals are watercolor renditions of found objects that are created by a wise old fella who lives in the great Northeast. He has asked that his name not be mentioned, so we'll call him the Tinkerer.
