This has been an idea that I’ve been tinkering with for a few weeks—finally managed to get it all committed to paper and coloured yesterday. I’m really proud of the colouring; for once it looks exactly like I imagined it! My working story behind this was something like a female Raylan Givens from Justified gets off work and goes straight to the bar. Maybe she’s had a really bad day. Who knows? But while she’s just innocently trying to get her drink on, she overhears a certain exchange happening behind her. A particularly illegal exchange. She really doesn’t want to deal with this right now, but she sees the glint of gunmetal in the shadow under the table…

Loki's entry in a series I'm doing of all the Avengers. There's a myth in the Norse legends about Loki pissing off some dwarves, and getting his mouth sewn shut as a punishment. For some reason, that's always been a very strong mental image to me, so I wanted to capture it best I could.
