This work is uploaded as an improved version of the original Pippi Longstocking I did, I got an email requesting a bigger print so I made a higher resolution one. It won't be exactly the same, but it will be pretty close. Thank you for all the interest on this work, it's highly appreciated! My childhood hero; Pippi Longstocking (see Wikipedia article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pippi_Longstocking ) I make all my digital mixed media paintings by first creating watercolor textures. I scan them at high resolution. Then I create a drawing with black ink and scan that as well. I combine all the scans in photoshop and adjust the blending. I also may adjust tint or contrast. I usually add some shading or details as well, using my Wacom tablet. After that I safe my work and upload it.

I wonder sometimes if growing up in the 80's explains my love for vivid colours. Growing up with the brightly coloured Little Pony's, Care Bears, Sweet Secrets and other toys sure as hell made the 70's colours look dull and boring. These days I can however appreciate both palettes..

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder :) I often love people's eyes although people don't feel that they are pretty. Eyes are the mirrors of the soul and the more they have lived the more beautiful they become. (At least in my eyes ..lol)

The Dalek are an amazing alien race in Doctor Who. The Daleks are a powerful race bent on universal conquest and domination, utterly without pity, compassion or remorse. Various storylines portray them as having had every emotion removed except hate, leaving them with a desire to purge the Universe of all non-Dalek life. Yet I think they are awesome! This is Hooters, one of our owlets that was born at our place this summer. Hooters was very sweet and loved to examine everything. He now lives at his new owner but I took quite a lot of photographs of him. Which wasn't always easy because he'd run towards the lens and either jump on top of it or start to nibble on the edge of it.
