34 years old and 17 years in. Who would have thought that kid shooting air balls against the Utah Jazz would blossom into a 5 time NBA Champion and creep on to the list of top ten greatest players to ever play the game? He only goes by one name. This is Kobe. This is the face of a champion.

The '94 Knicks (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/0010/p/2937610_16387807_l.jpg"/>Artist: Henry Kaye

The year was 1994 and Pat Riley had assembled a team that thrived off of defense and intimidation. In every Knick game that year, two things were certain: low scoring and toughness. And these 8 guys made sure that there was plenty of the latter. Charles Smith, Charles Oakley, Patrick Ewing, Anthony Mason, Derek Harper, Greg Anthony, John Starks and Doc Rivers led by Pat Riley elbowed their way to the best record in the Eastern Conference (57-25) and eventually into the NBA Finals.

MJ (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/0010/p/2933246_4230446_l.jpg"/>From the artist, Jon Newman:

This is my tribute to the greatest basketball player who ever played the game, Michael Jordan. In the illustration I chose to show the contrast between the younger Jordan (jumping) and the older Jordan (larger profile). I positioned the older Jordan looking up at the younger Jordan as if he's looking back upon his amazing career. I also decided to not use the typical Jordan pose that Nike has trademarked because this effort is focused on the player/person and not the brand. Similarly, I designed a custom monogram based on Jordan's initials "M" and "J" and then used those shapes to create the entire illustration.

Seattle Reign Man (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/0009/p/2011087_12575584_l.jpg"/>Artist: Patrick Ortega

In the 1990s, Seattle basketball was super and a 6' 10" forward was the face of the franchise. Shawn Kemp floated with ease through the air while contorting his body like a ballet dancer only to assault the rim in a way that directly contradicted the grace of the flight. The reign was supreme, culminating in a trip to the NBA Finals in 1996. Long live the green and the yellow. Long live the Reign Man.

3-Peat Bulls (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/0008/p/1677926_15836764_l.jpg"/>Artist: Bobby Bernethy

It all began in 1991. The Chicago Bulls entered the NBA Playoffs as the number one seed in the East, destined to have a meeting with the hated Detroit Pistons. MJ and the Bulls showed no mercy as they swept them in the Eastern Conference Finals en route to their first NBA Finals appearance. Then it was on to Hollywood.

Magic vs. Michael for all of the marbles marked a changing of the guard and a dynasty was born. After taking the series in 5, Michael, Scottie, Horace, John and Bill would capture two more rings to make the 3-peat complete.

Rose is Hope (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/0007/p/1459727_4439863_l.jpg"/>Artist: Dave Panizales

Straight out of Englewood on the southwest side of the city and into Simeon High School, Derrick Rose became Chicago's basketball hope. With a brief stop in Memphis and a near championship victory with the Tigers, it was time for D. Rose to come home. The Chicago Bulls snatched him up with the #1 pick in the 2008 NBA Draft with hopes of getting the franchise back to its winning ways. This is the Chi. This is Hope. This is Rose.

The 1980s Celtics (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/box_004/post_14/504685_15013265_l.jpg"/>Artist: Bobby Bernethy

The 1980s Celtics can easily be defined as "The Bird Era" making 5 appearances in the NBA Finals and bringing home 3 championships. Check out this art work featuring Dennis Johnson, Kevin McHale, Larry Bird, Robert Parish and Danny Ainge.

Showtime (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/box_004/post_14/504666_13610482_l.jpg"/>Artist: Bobby Bernethy

In the 80s, the Los Angeles Lakers ruled the decade making 8 appearances in the NBA Finals and bringing home 5 titles. Championship! When basketball players talk about winning 15 games during an NBA playoff run, they don't want to hug the Larry O'Brien Trophy or watch a banner unfurl from the rafters of their home arena. They want the jewelry. And whoever can collect the most, holds the bragging rights. Robb Harskamp and Milton Un have created an awesome piece illustrating the hardware that comes along with hard work. FYI...Bill Russell has more rings than fingers.

Shaq (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/box_003/post_13/467302_2958296_l.jpg"/>Artist: Reza Rasoli

Shaquille O'Neal entered the league at 7 feet 1 inch and 301 pounds, shattering backboards and bringing down rims. Man. He also debuted some pretty fancy break dancing during his first All-Star Weekend. Child. We know Shaq for his dominance on the court and his drollery off of it. Which is why it's fitting for the artist to illustrate him as a huge kid!

Pau! The Spaniard toiled in Memphis for 6.5 years before being shipped to the Lakers to help out in the big-man department. Every time the Clippers enter stage right onto the hardwood floor of the Staples Center, you are entertained by your host: Mr. Blake Griffin. The 82 show tour is spread over 6 months with roughly half of the dates scheduled in Los Angeles. Blake is always on point and his delivery is consistent but the best part of the show? Special guests. Could be Timofey Mozgov. Could be Kendrick Perkins. You just never know.

High Noon Hibachi (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/box_003/post_13/467237_3169093_l.jpg"/>Artist: Kevin Roche

Gilbert Arenas aka Agent Zero aka Hibachi. A quote from Gil:

"You know, a hibachi grill gets real hot. That's what my shot's like, so I've been calling it that: 'Welcome to the hibachi'."

From 2004-2007, the nickname was apropos while Arenas averaged nearly 28 points per game. His hot hand, however, took on a whole new meaning when he brought firearms into the locker room in 2009.

The Decision (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/box_003/post_13/467229_3332553_l.jpg"/>Artist: Cristofer Bernabe-Sanchez

Lebron James sat down with Jim Gray in July 2010 to announce that he would be taking his talents to South Beach the following season. Backlash ensued and the good folks in Beaverton, Oregon responded. What should I do?

Samurai Jo (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/box_003/post_13/467228_8033527_l.jpg"/>Artist: Kevin Roche

Joakim Noah is the guy you love to hate...when he's not on your team. He definitely doesn't have the prettiest game, but he gets the job done by any means. Blake Griffin's rookie year was derailed by a broken left knee cap before the train even left the station. The next year, he was exactly what everyone was waiting for and more. From gotemcoach.com:

Why “Milkshake?”

1. Half-Chocolate, Half-Vanilla
2. Both are smooth, but deadly serious
3. Both get you in that blender
4. Both are ICE-COLD bastards
5. Both are super f*ckin’ great

Run TMC (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/box_003/post_13/467221_11236123_l.jpg"/>Artist: Kevin Roche

Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin spent two golden years together in the Golden State and quickly solidified the legend of Run TMC. The trio out ran their opponent and filled up the score sheet but the union was short lived after posting an 81-83 record over two seasons.

The Durantula (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/box_003/post_13/467214_11312790_l.jpg"/>Artist: Reza Rasoli

As he was tearing his way through the competition he faced while at Montrose Christian, there was always chatter.

"Yeah, but can he do it at the next level."

Yes.

"He's 6'10'', won't those NBA big men just beat him up?"

No chance.

An NCAA Player of the Year award, a Rookie of the Year award and two NBA scoring titles later, I think the Durantula is doing just fine.
