This is an HDR Panorama, and the colors are lying to you. As in, this is what your eyes would see if you were there, rather than the simple-dom of what comes out of a camera. It's also not that hopped up stuff that is most HDR.

I think that my goal with a camera is to capture what I'm seeing, and I don't see through a tiny viewfinder. So, the bigger it is able to be printed, the better. The more the colors are like when I was there, the better. If it makes you start to think that you're smelling the grass and the fresh rain, I've succeeded.

Oh! HDR Mix! This one was a complex build, from editing source files to overlaying two output files, and then selecting what to keep.

A Spark in the Trees (For Sale)

<img src="http://a1.s6img.com/cdn/box_001/post_11/199988_14068476_l.jpg"/>This is my friend Nicole. This is an HDR mix. This is something of a throwback to film double exposures, but not. To get this same effect, you'd have to take a picture of my friend on the horse, take the horse and her floating in the air over the trees, and then take two photos... where part of her and the horse are invisible.

HDR images are composed of three identical pictures: One too dark, one too light, and one a normal exposure. Combined on the computer, I am able to find the exact image I want: I shift through the brights and shadows, to find pull out the details.

In my HDR mixes, I choose two of the ‘correct’ images, and then throw in a third ‘incorrect’ image. While giving the computer a heart attack trying to recogcile the differences, I change the settings to my heart’s content, and then save the flattened image.
