It's basically, like, when you have a strange mark, or abstraction in you painting, people always ask.... 'what is that?..." What is that?.... Well it's whatever you want it to be. If it doesn't look like anything to you, if it doesn't resemble something.... then it's nothing. Nothing but a mark. A slip of the imagination into the void of nothingness. . . In this case, it's a little representation of the past. Which I feel is in everything and in everyone. What is that? That is what you are made up of :)

This is a dark piece. It's reflective of some of the deep, dark, nasty places that people can go in their minds...... in their lives. I guess what it means to me, is that if you should happen to 'Go There', make sure you come back.. It's not a good place to stay in general. But, it's good to be able to realize that you are there when you are there. Explore the reason/s why you are there, but get OUT. Anyhow, that's all...... It's up to you really. I go there sometimes. It can take a while to realize that your actually there. Again. It's so great to be back though.........

We Are The Humans is a painting that I was asked to do in response to a track by Melbourne based musician, HUGO. Hugo's song explores the concept of Humans calling anything strange or different from the 'Norm' - ALIENS, and ultimately wanting to destroy these ALIENS due to a possible fear of the unknown power that the ALIENS may have over us Humans....... etc!
